How Accenture makes money

Accenture earns fees from clients for consulting and technology projects such as systems integration, and from multi-year contracts to manage applications, infrastructure and outsourced business processes. It also sells automation equipment, robotics and other commercial hardware.

What Accenture does

Accenture plc, founded in 1951 and based in Dublin, Ireland, is one of the largest IT services firms in the world. It runs four main service lines: strategy and consulting, Industry X, Song, and technology and operations. It works in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, serving communications and media, financial services, health and public service, consumer goods and retail, industrial, life sciences, and energy and utilities clients. Its work covers systems integration, application management, security, cloud, data and AI, software engineering, and automation, backed by a global delivery network. Beyond project work, Accenture runs whole business functions for clients, such as finance and accounting, procurement, supply chain, marketing and HR. It also runs industry-specific operations like platform trust and safety, banking, insurance and health services. It is pushing into agentic AI through partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft and Avanade, and Netomi. Its other alliances include AWS for public sector and defense work, ServiceNow for risk management, and SAP Japan with INFRONEER for a financial data platform.

What is Accenture worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, Accenture's most-likely value is about $503 versus a recent price near $209 (140% below fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$218) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Fairly priced — no edge
Owner-earnings fair value · recent price ≈ $209
Fair value (most likely)
$503
Range
$320–$890
No-growth floor
$218
Price
~$209

Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
