- Account Information: If you sign in (via Apple or Google), we store your authentication identity to enable server sync and credit purchases.
- Saved Companies (My Shelf): Company symbols you add to your shelf are stored in browser local storage or synced to our servers when signed in.
- Preferences: Your app preferences (such as language and display settings) are stored in browser local storage or synced to our servers when signed in.
- Payment Information: Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
Automatically Collected Information
- Market Data: We fetch stock price and fundamental data from third-party financial APIs to display company charts and information.
- Usage Analytics: We may use Google Analytics to understand how the application is used and improve the experience.
- Campaign Tags: If you arrive through a link that carries campaign tags (such as
utm_source), we store those tags with a random visitor ID in your browser, record the visit, and save the tags with your account if you sign up. We use this only to learn which of our posts bring readers. It does not include your IP address or any other personal information.
Your Data, Your Control
Without an account, TacticScale stores all data in your browser's local storage. When signed in, your data is synced to our servers so you can access it across devices. We do not share your personal data with third parties.

- Authentication Providers: Sign in with Google for account creation and login.

- Google AdSense: We show ads to free readers via Google AdSense, which uses cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads (including personalized ads where permitted). Google's use of this data is governed by Google's advertising policies. Subscribers ($1/month) see no ads.

Your personal data is stored in browser local storage and, when signed in, in our server-side database. We implement appropriate security measures including HTTPS encryption and secure authentication to protect against unauthorized access.
Server Sync for Authenticated Users
When signed in, your shelf and preferences are synced to our servers so you can access them across devices and browsers. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored securely.
