What are trading signals?

TacticScale detects divergence patterns between price and momentum indicators. When the price makes new highs/lows but the momentum doesn't confirm, it may signal a potential reversal. These are displayed as signal markers on your charts.

How do I add stocks to my watchlist?

Click the Watchlist page, then click the "+" button. Search for a stock by symbol (e.g., AAPL) or company name. Click on the result to add it to your watchlist.

What timeframes are available?

TacticScale supports 9 timeframes: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, daily, weekly, and monthly. Use shorter timeframes for day trading and longer ones for swing or position trading.

Are the signals financial advice?

No. TacticScale provides signals for educational purposes only. They are not recommendations to buy or sell. Always do your own research and consider consulting a financial advisor before making investment decisions.

How do I use the trade journal?

Click the Journal page to manage your trades. Import trades via CSV, track positions with P&L, and use the MIRROR panel to detect panic sells and FOMO buys. Trade scoring helps you identify patterns and improve your strategy over time.

What are credits and AI features?

TacticScale uses a credit system for AI-powered features like pivot analysis, news digests, and leadership summaries. New accounts receive free credits. Additional credits can be purchased in Settings. Each AI feature costs a set number of credits per use.

How do I create an account?

Click "Sign In" and choose Sign in with Google. An account is needed for AI features, server sync, and credit purchases. Core features like signals, charts, and watchlists work without an account.

Is my data secure?

Yes. When signed in, your data is synced securely to our servers. When not signed in, data is stored in your browser's local storage. We don't sell your personal trading data.

Why are some charts not loading?

Chart data comes from third-party financial APIs. If a chart isn't loading, check your internet connection. Some stocks (especially international or penny stocks) may have limited data availability.

Troubleshooting

App Running Slow?

  • Refresh the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • Reduce the number of stocks in your watchlist
  • Try a different browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)

Signals Not Appearing?

  • Divergence signals don't occur on every stock or timeframe
  • Try different timeframes (daily signals are most common)
  • Ensure you have stocks in your watchlist
  • Click refresh or change the timeframe to trigger a new scan

Chart Not Responding?

  • Use mouse wheel to zoom in/out
  • Click and drag to pan through time
  • Click the timeframe buttons to change intervals
  • Wait for data to fully load before interacting
