How ePlus makes money

Most revenue comes from reselling third-party hardware, software, subscriptions, and maintenance. On top of that, it earns fees from professional services projects and recurring managed services contracts.

What ePlus does

ePlus inc., founded in 1990 and headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, is an IT solutions provider serving organizations in the United States and internationally. It operates three segments: Product Services, Professional Services, and Managed Services. The product business resells third-party hardware, perpetual and subscription software, maintenance, and software assurance, and it offers internet-based B2B supply chain management tools for buying IT products. Its services cover staff augmentation, project management, cloud consulting, AI advisory, security and collaboration, logistics, and retail work such as digital signage, EV charging, and store openings and remodels. Its managed services include lifecycle support, service desk, storage-as-a-service, and managed cloud, infrastructure, and security. Clients include telecom, media, technology, state and local government, education, healthcare, and financial services organizations. The company was formerly known as MLC Holdings and took the ePlus name in 1999.

What is ePlus worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, ePlus's most-likely value is about $107 versus a recent price near $93 (15% below fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$58) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Fairly priced — no edge
Owner-earnings fair value · recent price ≈ $93
Fair value (most likely)
$107
Range
$84–$159
No-growth floor
$58
Price
~$93

Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
