How Sterling Infrastructure makes money

It earns revenue from construction and site-development contracts with large corporate end users, government transportation and infrastructure agencies, and homebuilders, developers, and general contractors.

What Sterling Infrastructure does

Sterling Infrastructure, founded in 1955 and headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, is a US engineering and construction company with three segments. E-Infrastructure Solutions handles site development for large blue-chip customers building data centers, e-commerce distribution centers, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and power generation facilities. Transportation Solutions builds and rehabilitates highways, roads, bridges, airports, ports, rail, and storm drainage systems for transportation departments and other public authorities. Building Solutions pours residential and commercial concrete foundations for single-family and multi-family homes, and builds parking structures and elevated slabs for developers and general contractors. It also offers plumbing and survey services for residential builds. The company works mainly in the Southern, Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Rocky Mountain regions and the Pacific Islands. It was called Sterling Construction Company until it was renamed in June 2022.

What is Sterling Infrastructure worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, Sterling Infrastructure's most-likely value is about $334 versus a recent price near $513 (35% above fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$123) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Fairly priced — no edge
Owner-earnings fair value · recent price ≈ $513
Fair value (most likely)
$334
Range
$210–$647
No-growth floor
$123
Price
~$513

Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
