How Fortune Brands Innovations makes money

It makes and sells branded home products through kitchen and bath dealers, wholesalers, home centers, showrooms, e-commerce and other retailers. Demand depends on home repair, remodeling and new home construction.

What Fortune Brands Innovations does

Fortune Brands Innovations is a Deerfield, Illinois-based maker of branded home products used in repair, remodeling, new construction and security. It reports three segments. Water sells faucets, accessories, hardware, kitchen sinks and waste disposals under Moen, ROHL, Riobel, Victoria+Albert, Emtek and other brands. Outdoors sells Therma-Tru entry doors, Larson storm and screen doors, Fiberon composite decking, Fypon urethane millwork and Solar Innovations wide-opening door systems. Security sells Master Lock, American Lock, Yale and August locks and electronic security, plus SentrySafe safes and security containers. The company sells mainly in the United States and also internationally. Its channels include kitchen and bath dealers, wholesalers serving builders and professional remodelers, industrial and locksmith distributors, DIY home centers, showrooms and e-commerce. Because its products go into homes, results depend on residential remodeling and new construction activity. The company was incorporated in 1988.

What is Fortune Brands Innovations worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, Fortune Brands Innovations's most-likely value is about $84 versus a recent price near $39 (117% below fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$48) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Deeply discounted.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Deeply discounted
Owner-earnings fair value · recent price ≈ $39
Fair value (most likely)
$84
Range
$66–$130
No-growth floor
$48
Price
~$39

On the financials alone, $39 is below even the no-growth floor ($48); the market's discount — expectations and sentiment beyond the numbers — is pricing in ≈ -2.3%/yr. A bargain only if that pessimism is overdone.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
