How Entegris makes money
It sells consumable materials and filtration/contamination-control products to chipmakers, equipment makers and chemical suppliers, so its revenue tends to rise with semiconductor production volumes. It also sells to other high-tech industries such as displays, hard drives, solar and life sciences.
What Entegris does
Entegris, founded in 1966 and headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts, supplies advanced materials and process solutions mainly to the semiconductor industry. It has two segments. Materials Solutions provides deposition materials (CVD/ALD), CMP slurries and pads, ion implantation gases, and formulated etch and clean chemistries. Advanced Purity Solutions provides filtration, purification and contamination-control products used in chip manufacturing and across the semiconductor supply chain. Its customers include logic and memory chipmakers, semiconductor equipment makers, gas and chemical producers, wafer growers, and outsourced assembly and test (OSAT) facilities. It also serves flat panel display, hard disk drive, solar, life science, aerospace, glass and biomedical implant manufacturers. It operates across North America, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, China, Europe and Southeast Asia.

What is Entegris worth?
On an owner-earnings DCF, Entegris's most-likely value is about $97 versus a recent price near $166 (41% above fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$41) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.
Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.
⚠ High leverage — net debt is 5.7× annual cash flow. Net debt is subtracted from this fair value, but refinancing at higher rates, principal timing, and share dilution aren’t modeled — the equity can be worth far less if cash flow weakens.
Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
