How Antero Midstream makes money

It earns fees for gathering, compressing and processing the natural gas and NGLs produced by Antero Resources. It also charges for delivering water to well sites and for transporting and disposing of flowback and produced water.

What Antero Midstream does

Antero Midstream Corporation owns, operates and develops midstream energy assets in the Appalachian Basin and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The company was founded in 2002 and has two segments. Gathering and Processing runs pipelines and compressor stations that collect and process natural gas and NGLs from Antero Resources' wells in West Virginia and Ohio. The Water Handling segment brings water to well sites from the Ohio River, local reservoirs and regional waterways. It uses buried and surface pipelines, storage facilities, pumping stations and blending facilities. It also transports flowback and produced water and provides transfer and disposal services. Almost all of its business comes from Antero Resources' drilling activity, so its results depend closely on that one producer.

What is Antero Midstream worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, Antero Midstream's most-likely value is about $19 versus a recent price near $21 (11% above fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$13) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Fairly priced — no edge

Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
