How Visteon makes money

Visteon makes most of its money selling cockpit electronics, displays, domain controllers and EV power and battery electronics to vehicle manufacturers. It also earns revenue from engineering and software development services.

What Visteon does

Visteon Corporation is an automotive technology supplier headquartered in Van Buren, Michigan, and incorporated in 2000. It sells cockpit electronics to vehicle manufacturers. Its products include analog and display-based instrument clusters, information displays with features such as local dimming and haptic feedback, and scalable Android infotainment with onboard AI voice assistants. Its SmartCore product line includes an integrated cockpit domain controller, middleware that lets apps appear on any display, and a PC-based configuration tool. Beyond the cockpit, Visteon supplies wired and wireless battery management systems and high-voltage power electronics for electrified vehicles. It also develops CognitoAI, its in-house automotive-grade AI software platform, and sells engineering and software services. The company operates in the United States, Mexico, Europe (including Portugal, Slovakia and Tunisia), China, India, Japan, the rest of Asia Pacific and South America.

What is Visteon worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, Visteon's most-likely value is about $96 versus a recent price near $85 (12% below fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$61) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Fairly priced — no edge
Owner-earnings fair value · recent price ≈ $85
Fair value (most likely)
$96
Range
$74–$134
No-growth floor
$61
Price
~$85

Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
