How Phinia makes money

It makes money by selling fuel system components and complete systems, including software and calibration services, to vehicle and equipment makers. It also sells aftermarket replacement parts, remanufactured products, diagnostics and test equipment, and starters and alternators sold to original equipment manufacturers.

What Phinia does

PHINIA Inc. is an Auburn Hills, Michigan-based auto parts company incorporated in 2023. It has two segments. Fuel Systems makes advanced fuel injection systems, including pumps, injectors, fuel rail assemblies and engine control modules, plus fuel delivery modules, canisters, sensors and electronic control modules. It also offers complete systems with software and calibration services that cut emissions and improve fuel economy in traditional and hybrid vehicles. The Aftermarket segment provides maintenance, test equipment and vehicle diagnostics, original equipment service solutions and remanufactured products, and sells starters and alternators to original equipment manufacturers. PHINIA serves a wide range of end markets: light passenger vehicles, light commercial vans and trucks, medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses, and off-highway uses in construction, marine, agriculture, and aerospace and defense.

What is Phinia worth?

On an owner-earnings DCF, Phinia's most-likely value is about $77 versus a recent price near $58 (34% below fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~$58) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Fairly priced — no edge.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.

Verdict: Fairly priced — no edge
Owner-earnings fair value · recent price ≈ $58
Fair value (most likely)

Price

Price sits in the normal range — fair value isn't actionable here; it earns its keep only when price drops below the no-growth floor, or runs to roughly double the optimistic case.

Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
