What MMG does
MMG Limited is a Hong Kong-listed mining company that explores, develops and operates mines, mainly for copper and zinc. It runs five operating segments: Las Bambas in Peru, Kinsevere in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Khoemacau in Botswana, and Dugald River and Rosebery in Australia. The deposits also produce gold, silver, molybdenum, cobalt and lead. The company was incorporated in 1988 and was called Minmetals Resources Limited until it became MMG Limited in September 2012. Its headquarters are in Southbank, Australia, and it is a subsidiary of China Minmetals H.K. (Holdings) Limited. Because it sells metal, its results depend heavily on copper and zinc prices and on output from a small number of large mines.

What is MMG worth?
On an owner-earnings DCF, MMG's most-likely value is about HK$2 versus a recent price near HK$9 (348% above fair value). But TacticScale only calls a stock undervalued when the price sits below its conservative no-growth floor (~HK$1) with a margin of safety — so the honest verdict here is “Stretched — richly priced.” Fair value earns its keep only at the extremes, not in the wide middle.
Today's $9 is above even the optimistic Bull case ($4) — the market expects faster, longer growth than modeled here. Expensive unless that extra growth actually shows up.
Analysis, not advice. Fair value is a margin-of-safety estimate from a deterministic owner-earnings DCF, not a price target or recommendation. See the full breakdown →
