What Kingboard does

Kingboard Holdings is a Hong Kong-headquartered conglomerate founded in 1988, known until 2018 as Kingboard Chemical Holdings. Its core is a vertically linked electronics-materials chain: it makes laminate inputs such as epoxy resin, glass fabric and electronic grade yarn, the laminates themselves, and finished single, double, multi-layer and HDI printed circuit boards sold to electronics manufacturers. It also runs a large chemicals business producing commodities such as methanol, acetic acid, phenol, bisphenol A, PVC and caustic soda. On top of this it has property development and rental, a portfolio of debt and equity investments, and smaller magnetic-products and hotel operations. Sales are mainly in China, with additional sales in Europe, Africa, the US and other Asian countries.
