Tianshan Aluminum makes aluminum and many of the materials that go into it. It mines bauxite, refines it into alumina, smelts primary aluminum, and turns part of that into high-purity aluminum and aluminum foil, including foil for power batteries. It also generates its own power and runs logistics and railway operations that support the chain.

How Tianshan Aluminum makes money

It earns most of its money selling primary aluminum ingots, alumina, prebaked anodes, high-purity aluminum and aluminum foil to customers in China and abroad. Owning the chain from bauxite, carbon and power through to processing helps it control input costs.
