What Rocket Lab does

Rocket Lab provides access to space. Its Electron rocket launches small satellites to orbit, and it builds spacecraft, satellite components and space systems for commercial and government customers. It is also developing Neutron, a larger, reusable rocket aimed at bigger payloads and constellations.

How Rocket Lab makes money

Rocket Lab earns revenue from launch services (selling rides to orbit) and, increasingly, from its Space Systems segment — building satellites, components and even complete spacecraft for customers, plus on-orbit services. Space Systems provides larger, more recurring contracts, while launch demonstrates capability and wins customers.
