Offshore Oil Engineering designs, builds, installs and maintains the platforms, subsea systems and other structures used to produce oil and gas at sea, in China and abroad. It also builds LNG terminals, storage tanks and gas liquefaction plants. It is expanding into offshore wind, hydrogen and other green energy projects.

How Offshore Oil Engineering makes money

It earns revenue mainly from engineering and general contracting (EPCI) contracts for offshore oil and gas and LNG projects. Its fleet of vessels and its fabrication yards support these contracts, and it also sells process equipment and inspection, maintenance, repair and decommissioning services. Its parent company, CNOOC, is a key customer.
