Jiangsu Guotai International helps move everyday consumer goods like clothing, toys, food, chemicals and machinery in and out of China as an import-export trader. It also develops and makes specialty chemicals, mainly the electrolyte liquids used in lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, plus silicone materials such as silicone oil, rubber and resin.

How Jiangsu Guotai makes money

It earns most of its money from trading margins and service fees on import-export deals for consumer goods. It also sells electronic chemicals and silicone materials it makes itself through its New Energy segment, and adds smaller income from logistics, financial services, investment management and property management.
