Liugong builds the heavy machines used to move earth and put up infrastructure — excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, road rollers, cranes and forklifts — and sells them in China and abroad. Founded in 1958 in Liuzhou, it also makes specialized bridge-building gear, including prestressed anchor systems, engineering cables, rubber bearings and dampers that protect structures during earthquakes. Its customers span construction, mining, quarrying, ports, agriculture, forestry and municipal projects.

How Guangxi Liugong Machinery makes money

The company earns most of its revenue selling earth-moving machines and other construction equipment, plus follow-on sales of spare parts and components. Additional income comes from its prestressed machinery segment (bridge and anchor system products) and from leasing equipment to customers.
