What CRRC does

CRRC designs, builds, repairs, and services trains of almost every kind, including high-speed multiple units, locomotives, metro cars, trams, passenger coaches, and freight wagons. It also makes the parts that go into them, such as traction motors and electrical control systems. It sells in mainland China and abroad, and it has side businesses in wind turbines, buses, trucks, and construction machinery.

How CRRC makes money

Most of its revenue comes from selling rolling stock and components to rail operators and transit systems. It also earns money from refurbishment, maintenance, technical services, equipment leasing, and financing, plus sales of wind turbines, vehicles, and machinery.
