CITIC Pacific Special Steel makes high-performance specialty steel — not the ordinary steel used in cheap construction, but engineered grades built to survive heat, pressure, corrosion and constant stress. Its bars, wires, plates and seamless pipes end up in car engines and gearboxes, oil wells, wind turbines, ships, bridges, railways and nuclear plants. The company was founded in 1993 as Daye Special Steel, renamed in 2019, and is based in Jiangyin, China.
