Sinopec finds and produces crude oil and natural gas, refines crude into fuels like gasoline and diesel, and sells them through its own depots and service stations across Mainland China. It also makes a wide range of chemicals, including plastics, synthetic fibers, synthetic rubber and fertilizers. It is also building newer businesses in hydrogen, EV battery charging and swapping, solar and wind.

How China Petroleum & Chemical makes money

It earns most of its revenue by refining crude oil and selling fuels through its wholesale and retail service-station network, and by selling petrochemical products. Its own oil and gas production, pipeline and jetty services, trading, and new-energy services add further income.
