What Acurx Pharmaceuticals does

Acurx Pharmaceuticals develops new antibiotic drugs to treat serious bacterial infections. Its lead drug, ibezapolstat, is in a Phase 2b trial for C. difficile, a bacterial infection that causes severe diarrhea. It is also developing ACX-375C, which targets drug-resistant bacteria such as MRSA and VRE.

How Acurx Pharmaceuticals makes money

Acurx does not yet sell any products. It funds its research by raising capital and hopes to make money later by selling or licensing its antibiotics if regulators approve them.
