How do I use TapTalk?

Using TapTalk is simple:

1. Open the app and select a phrase pack from the home screen
2. Tap the large circle in the center using one of three gestures:
   • Single Tap: Quickly tap once
   • Double Tap: Tap twice quickly
   • Long Press: Tap and hold for 1 second
3. Your phrase will be spoken aloud immediately

How do I create a custom phrase pack?

To create your own pack:

1. Tap the gear icon to open Settings
2. Select "Manage Packs"
3. Tap the "+" button or "Create New Pack"
4. Enter your pack name and choose an icon
5. Add phrases for each gesture (single tap, double tap, long press)
6. Customize emojis and colors for each phrase
7. Tap "Create Pack" to save

Can I share my custom packs with others?

Yes! You can share phrase packs:

1. Go to Settings → Manage Packs
2. Find your custom pack
3. Tap the share icon
4. Use AirDrop, Messages, or Email to share the pack file
5. The recipient can import it into their TapTalk app

How do I import a shared pack?

To import a pack someone shared with you:

1. Receive the .taptalk file via AirDrop, email, or Messages
2. Tap on the file
3. Choose "Open in TapTalk"
4. Review the pack and tap "Import"
5. The pack will now appear in your pack list

Can I edit existing packs?

Yes! You can edit custom packs:

1. Go to Settings → Manage Packs
2. Find the pack you want to edit
3. Tap the edit icon
4. Make your changes
5. Tap "Save Changes"

Note: Pre-built packs cannot be edited, but you can create a copy and customize it.

How do I delete a custom pack?

To remove a pack you created:

1. Go to Settings → Manage Packs
2. Swipe left on the pack
3. Tap "Delete"
4. Confirm the deletion

Note: Pre-built packs cannot be deleted.

Why isn't the voice working?

If you don't hear speech output:

1. Check your device volume (side buttons)
2. Make sure Silent Mode is off (check the switch on the side)
3. Go to iPhone Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content
4. Ensure a voice is downloaded for your language
5. Restart the app
6. Restart your device

Can I change the voice?

TapTalk uses your device's system voice. To change it:

1. Open iPhone Settings (not TapTalk)
2. Go to Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices
3. Select your language
4. Choose from available voices
5. Download premium voices for better quality

Does TapTalk work offline?

Yes! TapTalk works completely offline. Once you've downloaded the app, you don't need internet access to use it. All phrases and voice synthesis work on your device.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. TapTalk does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information. All your custom packs and settings stay on your device only. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What devices are supported?

TapTalk works on:

• iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later
• iPad running iPadOS 17.0 or later

Is TapTalk free?

Yes! TapTalk is completely free with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ads. All features are available to everyone immediately.
