Introduction

imlore ("we," "our," or "the app") is a smart home monitoring application. This Privacy Policy explains how imlore handles information when you use our mobile application available on the Apple App Store.

Information We Collect

Camera and Video Data

When you use imlore in Camera mode, the app captures video from your device's camera. This video data is:

• Streamed directly to your Viewer device over local WiFi (peer-to-peer, never touches our servers)
• Stored in YOUR personal iCloud account for remote viewing
• Processed by on-device AI for detection (when your device supports it)

We do not have access to your video footage. All data is stored in your personal iCloud account using CloudKit.

Device Information

We store basic device information in your iCloud account to enable camera discovery:

• Device name (e.g., "Living Room Camera")
• Device model (e.g., "iPhone 14")
• Monitoring mode selected (baby, elderly, pet, security)
• Last online timestamp

Event Data

When AI detects important events (motion, sounds, etc.), event records are saved to your iCloud account including:

• Event type and description
• Timestamp
• Thumbnail image

You control how long events are kept through the app's data retention settings.

Data Storage

imlore uses Apple's CloudKit to store all data in YOUR personal iCloud account. This means:

• Your data is protected by your Apple ID security
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• We cannot access your data - it's in your iCloud, not ours
• Deleting the app or signing out removes our access completely

Local Network Communication

When Camera and Viewer devices are on the same WiFi network, imlore uses peer-to-peer communication for real-time video streaming. This traffic never leaves your local network and provides the fastest, most private viewing experience.

AI Processing

imlore uses AI to detect events like motion, people, and sounds. AI processing occurs:

• On-device: For newer iPhones with Neural Engine, detection runs entirely on your device
• Via API: For older devices, frames may be sent to AI services for analysis. These are processed in real-time and not stored by the AI provider.

Third-Party Services

imlore uses the following services:

• Apple iCloud (CloudKit): For storing your data in your personal iCloud account
• Apple Push Notifications: For alert delivery
• AI Vision APIs: For object detection on older devices (frames processed in real-time, not stored)

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

imlore is designed for monitoring children (baby monitor mode) but is intended for use by parents and guardians. The app does not collect personal information from children directly. Parents control all data through their own iCloud account.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access: All your data is in your iCloud account
• Delete: Use the app's settings to clear events, or delete camera records from iCloud
• Retention: Configure how long events are kept (7 days, 30 days, etc.)
• Portability: Your data is in standard formats in your iCloud

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
